A quiz has been added to the "Exercises" section of the site, for you to check how much you know about Linux concepts, files and commands.

Like for many other things in life, you can get better if you are applying your knowledge to resolve practical issues. In one word, exercise.
In order to gain some experience at manipulating files in a Linux environment you can now try to work on the "Gasoline Prices Dataset" issues presented here. Various files have been modified and you can fix them by using "cut", "sed", "tr" and other commands.
If you are not yet very familiar with those, hints are available to help you (the next step would be to check the manual page for any command referenced there and find the appropriate options).
Don't worry if you need multiple attempts to find the correct syntax. And even after resolving all ten issues, you may want to give this another try later, first to see how much you progress you've made, but also to look at possible alternate solutions.

In a similar way that what was done for the "Web Design & Programming" web site, all the content of the "Linux Administration" class that I have taught is now online.
For now, only the slides are available; additional content such as scripts, quizzes and the like will be added in the future. Of course, links to various resources are also listed.
Comments, suggestions and ideas to improve this site are welcome!
